New Seismic System Braces Unusually Tall Convention Hall
A patented girder system braces an usually tall story of the new San Francisco Moscone West Convention Center and shaved an estimated $2m in steel costs from the project. SDE’s Raj Sahai credits Gensler’s team with taking a chance, “They really let us experiment with an idea that’s never been done before.”
